Job description

Role overview

Borough Kitchen is hiring a creative, organised, and commercially minded Social Media and Content Coordinator to help grow its social presence, with Instagram as the main focus. The role also contributes to paid social creative and will support the brand’s expansion into other platforms over time.

Working alongside the Marketing Manager and Creative Lead, you will help showcase Borough Kitchen’s campaigns, products, Cook School, retail stores, and partnerships through content across social media, paid ads, the website, and other digital channels. This opportunity suits someone with a strong visual eye, an understanding of storytelling and content trends, and enthusiasm for helping build a premium cooking and lifestyle brand.

This is a practical, hands-on position for someone who enjoys both making content and managing social channels day to day, while also backing wider marketing activity across the business.

About Borough Kitchen

Borough Kitchen is the UK’s leading premium retailer for people who enjoy cooking and entertaining. The business offers carefully tested kitchen and table products, along with advice, inspiration, and education through its stores, online shop, and cook school. It operates five London stores and has a substantial e-commerce presence. Every product is selected and tested for function, quality, and durability, and the brand has built trusted relationships with premium partners through its commitment to high standards. The team is looking for someone who shares its enthusiasm for cooking, entertaining, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

What you will do

  • Plan and deliver content across social platforms, paid advertising, the website, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Produce, film, edit, and adapt engaging social-first content, including short videos, product-led stories, and campaign assets.
  • Support photography, styling, and content capture for social media, paid campaigns, website content, events, launches, Cook School activity, and larger campaign shoots.
  • Create content for Instagram Stories and other short-form formats designed for social channels.
  • Help amplify campaigns linked to launches, partnerships, retail events, and seasonal activity.
  • Assist with the creation, adaptation, and delivery of creative assets for paid social campaigns and performance testing.
  • Work with the Creative Lead to ensure content stays aligned with the brand’s visual style, creative standards, and tone of voice.
  • Help keep a consistent visual identity across all digital channels.
  • Manage day-to-day activity on Borough Kitchen’s social channels, especially Instagram.
  • Schedule posts in line with the marketing calendar and campaign priorities.
  • Engage with the community through comments, direct messages, and customer interactions.
  • Track social trends, platform changes, and competitor activity to spot useful opportunities and insights.
  • Support reporting and performance analysis, using findings to shape future content and creative work.
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager on campaign planning, launches, and wider business priorities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, eCommerce, and creative teams to meet content needs across the business.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Manager, Creative Lead, and digital agency on paid social content for Meta and other digital platforms.
  • Organise, manage, and repurpose content assets across campaigns and channels.

Requirements

  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Good working knowledge of Instagram and short-form video, with interest in TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Confidence filming and editing content for social and digital use.
  • Strong visual judgement and a feel for storytelling and premium brand presentation.
  • Well organised, proactive, and highly attentive to detail.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.
  • Interest in food, cooking, lifestyle, or hospitality brands.
  • Comfort working collaboratively on both creative and commercially focused projects.
  • Enthusiasm for content, storytelling, and building engaging digital brand experiences.
  • Preferred experience creating assets for paid social advertising.
  • Basic experience with photography and styling is desirable.
  • Familiarity with social scheduling and reporting tools is desirable.
  • Experience with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar editing tools is desirable.

Benefits

  • Access to industry-leading discounts across a portfolio of trusted, high-quality brands.
  • Complimentary Cook School classes.
  • Longevity holiday benefit.
  • Option to buy extra annual leave.
  • Free access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 confidential support, advice, and expert guidance for you and your family.
  • The company is a London Living Wage employer, reflecting its commitment to valuing its team as experts in cooking and dining.
  • Equal opportunities commitment: all employees are treated fairly regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, nationality, ethnicity, age, or physical ability.
  • The business values every team member, including part-time staff and those on fixed-term contracts.
