Job description

Role overview

An opportunity is available with a food and beverage hospitality organization for a strategic Sourcing Manager who can strengthen purchasing decisions, supplier partnerships, and operational performance. This position brings together strategy, vendor management, and execution, with a focus on improving both revenue impact and cost efficiency.

The role works closely with internal teams and external partners to build sourcing approaches that fit changing business priorities and organizational values. It is suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative, people-focused setting where informed judgment, teamwork, and ongoing improvement are highly valued.

Work location and duration

The assignment is based in Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement. The expected duration is 16 months. English fluency is required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and carry out sourcing plans that support business objectives, stakeholder requirements, and market intelligence.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing initiatives, keeping projects on schedule and delivering clear results.
  • Develop supplier partnerships that contribute to value creation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Review spending patterns and market conditions to uncover opportunities for savings and better efficiency.
  • Lead contract preparation and negotiation work while maintaining compliance and long-term business value.
  • Spot potential supply chain risks and put measures in place to protect business continuity.

Requirements

  • At least 2 to 3+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain functions.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing methods, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle several initiatives at once and influence stakeholders across different teams.
  • Analytical approach with experience in spend review and cost improvement efforts.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities, with confidence engaging at all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with procurement or ERP platforms.
