Job description
Overview
West Coast Speech Language Pathology is hiring a Speech Therapist to support clients with communication and swallowing needs in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is a full-time role that must be performed in person at the workplace; remote work is not available.
Language
The working language for this role is English.
Education
A master's degree is required.
Experience
Candidates should have 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience.
Work arrangement
This position is strictly on-site. The work must be completed at the physical location, with no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Carry out speech and language assessments and related examinations.
- Identify and assess speech, voice, resonance, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
- Check in with patients to confirm that recommended therapy or remedial plans are being followed through properly.
- Create, organize, and put into practice treatment plans aimed at improving speech, voice, language, resonance, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing conditions.
- Offer guidance and educational support to patients and their families about communication and swallowing issues.
