Role Overview

Village Roadshow Theme Parks is hiring a full-time Kitchen Stewarding Captain for Sea World Resort at Main Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This position is a practical, team-leading role focused on keeping back-of-house and kitchen areas clean, safe, and hygienic so food and beverage services can run smoothly.

The role offers hourly pay of $26.70 on Mondays to Fridays, $33.38 on Saturdays, and $40.05 on Sundays. Junior rates may apply.

What the Job Involves

As Stewarding Captain, you will help lead the stewarding team while also working alongside them in day-to-day cleaning and sanitation tasks. The role requires a hands-on approach, a focus on food safety, and the ability to support food and beverage operations in a fast-paced resort environment.

Team Leadership and Daily Duties

• Guide, encourage, and support the stewarding team so daily work is completed efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
• Take part in cleaning tasks to keep kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils spotless and safe to use.
• Apply and uphold food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety expectations.
• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to meet service needs and adjust to changing operational requirements.
• Help onboard, train, and develop team members to build a positive and high-performing culture.

Working Conditions and Additional Details

This is an onsite role at Sea World Resort in Main Beach, Gold Coast. The position requires flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with weekday rostered days off.
