Role Summary
The company is looking for a meticulous and well-organized storekeeper to oversee stock, materials, tools, equipment, and warehouse activities. This role plays a key part in keeping inventory accurate, ensuring materials are received and issued on time, and enabling project teams to work smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept, check, and log incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
- Keep stock registers and inventory records updated and accurate.
- Release materials to project teams and departments only against approved requests.
- Track inventory levels and work with procurement teams on replenishment needs.
- Carry out regular stock counts and inventory verification exercises.
- Store, label, and preserve materials appropriately to avoid damage or loss.
- Document all stock movement, including receipts, transfers, issues, and returns.
- Compile inventory summaries and stock position reports for management.
- Work closely with procurement, project, and logistics teams on material requirements.
- Spot slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete items and escalate them as needed.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company procedures.
- Assist with asset tracking and inventory control initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of High School or a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a storekeeper, warehouse coordinator, or inventory controller role.
- Background in construction, engineering, industrial, or project-driven settings is preferred.
- Good understanding of inventory control methods and warehouse operations.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience handling construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Exposure to ERP platforms and stock control systems.
- Holding a UAE driving license would be an added advantage.
