Job description

About the Company

Rilla is building technology to capture and organize the offline world. The company focuses on sales coaching software for businesses that sell in person, and its platform is already used by more than 1,000 customers, including The Home Depot, KKR, Neighborly, and PulteGroup. Rilla is supported by investors such as Google Ventures, Bessemer Ventures, Crew Capital, and Broom Ventures.

The team works from the office in New York City and is made up of builders who move quickly, learn by doing, and care deeply about making a measurable impact in the real world.

Role Overview

Rilla is looking for a Summer Intern to join the team in person and take ownership of meaningful work across different parts of the business. This is a hands-on generalist role where you may contribute to sales, operations, finance, recruiting, and other priority areas depending on what the company needs. You will collaborate closely with founders and company leaders, solve live problems, and deliver tangible results by the end of the summer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead important projects across sales, operations, finance, recruiting, and other business functions as needed
  • Partner directly with founders and leadership on active business challenges
  • Improve processes, build solutions, and help the company operate better than before
  • Take full ownership quickly and work with a fast-paced, self-directed approach from the start

What You'll Gain

In this internship, you’ll get a close-up look at how a high-growth startup runs. You’ll work alongside ambitious teammates in New York City and finish the summer with practical experience and concrete work you can showcase.

Who Should Apply

  • People who are naturally curious, learn quickly, and can independently figure out new tools, topics, or problems
  • Generalists who are comfortable going deep on unfamiliar challenges
  • Individuals who care strongly about customers, user needs, and solving real problems rather than chasing vanity metrics
  • Applicants with a strong focus on quality, empathy, and making work genuinely useful for people in the field
  • Team-oriented people who welcome feedback and enjoy growing with others
  • Candidates who are comfortable taking risks and treating failure as part of learning

Eligibility

  • Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite in New York City during the summer
  • No specific academic major is required
  • Should have proof of having handled difficult challenges independently and figured things out on their own

Important Note

This role is best suited for someone excited about building AI products for industries that have not yet been transformed by modern software, spending time with customers in the field, working around 70 hours per week in person with highly ambitious teammates in New York City, and helping build a company with the intensity required for that kind of ambition.

Benefits and Perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Meals and snacks provided six days a week, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and additional food and drinks
  • Gym membership
  • Commuter support
  • Relocation help
  • Unlimited paid time off with no accrual system
  • $1,000 stipend for learning and personal development
  • $1,500 monthly rent stipend
  • Technology equipment provided
