About the role
Ayvens is looking for a Supplier Manager to join the Services & Operations team in Dublin. The role focuses on strengthening supplier and manufacturer relationships, securing favorable commercial and service agreements, and helping improve internal ways of working. It also involves acting as a professional and ethical representative of the business with suppliers and partners.
The position is based in the head office and also requires travel on the road for part of the time.
What you will do
- Work with manufacturers and strategic partners to build strong relationships that support high-quality customer solutions.
- Negotiate and finalize commercial terms and service level agreements with suppliers and partners.
- Support business change by improving internal processes and ways of working.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs across value streams.
- Represent Ayvens in line with company ethics and procurement policies.
- Help develop processes and tools that reinforce Ayvens as a trusted professional partner.
- Prepare, negotiate, and execute detailed supplier SLAs with performance and commercial commitments.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier contract and contact database.
- Build, manage, and continuously strengthen supplier relationships.
- Set up quarterly supplier and stakeholder review meetings, capture minutes, and track follow-up actions.
- Compile purchasing data, monitor bonuses, volumes, and financial targets.
- Keep a strong focus on efficiency and cost control by identifying improvement areas.
- Ensure compliance with KYS requirements and related policies.
- Follow group and local procurement guidelines in day-to-day work.
- Research the market for suitable partners across different service areas.
- Work closely with the Network Relationship Manager to resolve supplier-related issues.
- Support delivery of company strategy, goals, and policies.
- Act as the main contact for Ayvens Global Procurement.
- Contribute to annual profit planning, forecasts, budget preparation, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Carry out reasonable operational tasks as needed.
- Deliver on both individual and team objectives.
What we are looking for
- Strong business sense and practical operational knowledge.
- Hands-on experience in negotiation and contract finalization.
- Advanced analytical and IT capability, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create purchasing strategies and policies aligned to business needs.
- Comfort with regular supplier meetings and phone-based communication to maintain strong relationships.
- Experience evaluating suppliers and analysing purchasing performance.
- Exposure to dealer management systems, including manufacturer warranty and goodwill claim recovery processes.
- Project management and change management capability.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to stay effective under pressure.
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Positive attitude toward change, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Team-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a motor industry role.
- More than 3 years of experience in procurement.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and process implementation.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong communication, writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
- A proven record of success in a similar position.
