Job description

About the Role

LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics is looking for a Supply Planning Manager to support its North America business from the New York office. In this role, you will help ensure product availability, protect inventory health, and keep supply chain costs under control while working across a broad network of internal partners. The position sits within a fast-moving environment that values excellence, creativity, innovation, and strong brand execution across both established lines and new launches.

You will work closely with French production teams, U.S. warehouse operations, and local brand, sales, marketing, and finance stakeholders to keep the product flow running smoothly for the existing catalog as well as upcoming launches. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, a process-improvement approach, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners in a high-performance setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage supply planning activities to support service goals and maintain healthy inventory levels.
  • Track and improve planning performance through KPIs such as OTIF, service level fulfillment, presence rate, and cuts, and share results with management, headquarters supply partners, and local brand teams.
  • Investigate service issues in depth, identify root causes, and put preventive actions and continuous-improvement measures in place.
  • Review the air/sea shipment mix and work to reduce cost and environmental impact by limiting unnecessary air freight.
  • Run weekly replenishment through DRP and organize recurring weekly and monthly routines with local and headquarters partners, including S&OP.
  • Lead supply coordination for new product launches, turning allocation plans and forecasts into executable supply actions.
  • Spot delay risks early, escalate concerns with practical recommendations, and coordinate with supply chain stakeholders to secure on-time launch execution.
  • Monitor consumption during launch phases M1 to M3 and challenge forecast assumptions when demand signals shift, working with the forecaster manager.
  • Oversee novelty project coordination and ensure proper execution with both local and central stakeholders.
  • Report launch-related KPIs, including on-time delivery, consumption, and air/sea shipment ratio.
  • Own inventory health by managing overstock, DOI/DOC, and unneeded stock, and by taking action to reduce obsolescence risk.
  • Supervise short-term obsolescence destruction activities, propose alternative uses where possible, and monitor destruction lists carefully.
  • Lead monthly stock reviews, project inventory outlooks, and communicate risks and opportunities to finance to help manage P&L impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Management, or another quantitative discipline is required; a master’s degree in one of these areas is an advantage.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in supply planning, inventory optimization, or a similar function.
  • Prior exposure to a fast-paced and complex supply chain is important, with luxury or cosmetics experience seen as a strong plus.
  • Recent graduates from top universities with strong internships or project work that demonstrate advanced analytical ability may also be considered.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, with the ability to turn complex data into practical business actions.
  • Clear continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to identify root causes, implement corrective measures, and deliver results.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as AX and advanced planning tools such as Anaplan is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proven project leadership skills, including the ability to move initiatives from concept to completion.
  • A curious, detail-oriented, process-focused mindset and the ability to improve existing operations continuously.
  • Strong adaptability and prioritization skills in a changing, high-pressure environment.
  • Comfort working in a transformation setting with demanding performance expectations.
  • French language ability, either fluent or working knowledge, is a plus.
  • Must handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
