About the Role
VaporVM is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to oversee and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role involves managing, securing, and optimizing systems, with a focus on Microsoft environments, endpoint management, and network operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity principles, virtualization technologies, and robust backup solutions. Your primary objective will be to ensure the highest levels of availability, security, and performance across the entire organization.
Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, ensuring security, software deployment, and compliance.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft Defender.
- Implement and manage security measures including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and identity protection.
- Configure and support network infrastructure components like firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless networks, and other security solutions.
- Manage virtualization platforms including Hyper-V/VMware, storage systems, and backup solutions.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity processes.
- Monitor the performance of IT infrastructure, troubleshoot critical issues, and ensure consistent system availability.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, implement infrastructure hardening strategies, and ensure security compliance.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID).
- Experience with Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
- Skilled in SCCM and endpoint management tools.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and other security solutions.
- Familiarity with DLP, Conditional Access, and MFA implementation.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
- Experience with Hyper-V or VMware virtualization.
- Knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls and VPNs.
- Solid understanding of network security and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with backup solutions like Veeam or Commvault.
- MCSE / MCSA
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
- Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate
- Azure Administrator Associate
- CCNA
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field is required.
