Klar is a data operating system built for expanding eCommerce businesses. It helps brands understand their performance across the three main growth levers: customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
The platform is used by more than 1,000 eCommerce brands, including Loop Earplugs, Holy, Wild, Maniko, and Armed Angels, along with many others that rely on Klar to make better decisions every day.
The team has spent most of the last decade working in eCommerce, so it understands customer challenges first-hand and built Klar to address them. A key principle at the company is doing work you can be proud of, with an emphasis on long-term quality rather than short-term wins.
Role Summary
This position is for a commercially minded partnerships leader who will manage and grow Klar’s relationships with major ecosystem partners such as Shopify, TikTok, Meta, Google, Pinterest, and Snapchat. The role is focused on turning these partnerships into a meaningful source of new customers.
What You Will Do
You will take responsibility for Klar’s existing strategic platform partnerships and help develop new ones where the relationships are still early.
Your work will involve understanding partner organizations in depth, including their structure, ownership, priorities, and success metrics, so that Klar can identify where it creates value for them.
You will also help strengthen Klar’s visibility inside partner companies by training and enabling sellers, CSMs, partner managers, and support teams across different groups with different incentives.
Another key part of the role is to build a strong referral engine. That means designing internal programs and partner-facing collateral that make it easy for partners to recommend Klar in a way that fits their own KPIs and crediting systems.
In addition, you will own and grow the TikTok Measurement Partnership and look for similar programmatic opportunities across other platforms. You will connect with parallel functions such as product partnerships, measurement, commerce solutions, performance, and industry vertical teams to ensure Klar reaches the right workflows.
Hiring Process
The team is moving quickly and would ideally like the person to start immediately, though they are open to waiting for the right fit. The selection process is handled mainly by Max.
- Your application will be reviewed, and you are encouraged to include a short note on what attracts you to Klar in addition to your CV.
- You will have a 30-minute introductory conversation to learn more about Klar’s vision and to check whether expectations match.
- A second meeting will go deeper into your motivations and future goals, with plenty of time for open questions from both sides.
- You will then meet the co-founders for a final alignment check.
- If everything goes well, an offer will follow.
The full process is expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
Requirements
The team is looking for someone exceptional who wants to grow their career and deepen their expertise.
You should have at least 3 years of experience in partnerships, sales, or business development, with a proven background in handling strategic relationships and/or long, complex sales cycles.
Strong relationship-building ability is essential, since the role depends heavily on trust-based partnerships.
You also need to be highly organised, dependable, and consistent in following through on commitments, especially when managing many partner relationships at once.
The ideal candidate is motivated by learning, eager to expand their toolkit, and open to working with people who share that mindset.
Curiosity is another important trait, along with a broad range of interests and a willingness to keep learning from new situations and ideas.
