Job description

About L’Occitane Group

Founded in 1976 from a simple idea, L’Occitane en Provence draws inspiration from the vitality of plants and the meeting point between sunlight and fertile land. The brand transforms nature’s ingredients into sensory, high-performing products designed with sustainability in mind and rooted in the spirit of Provence.

The company culture is shaped by everyday actions: how people collaborate, make decisions, and support one another. Its core behaviors are Trust, Curiosity, Excellence, and Impact, with a focus on creating lasting value for people and the planet.

Role Overview

The Retail Tech Product Manager will be responsible for the product direction and roadmap for L’Occitane’s retail technology environment, which supports more than 170 stores across North America. The role is focused on advancing proprietary and third-party tools that shape the in-store experience, working closely with business and technology partners to uncover opportunities, set priorities, and deliver scalable solutions that strengthen store operations, boost beauty host productivity, and improve customer experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Set and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new capabilities spanning associate tools, order workflows, messaging, guest identity, and post-purchase experiences.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from discovery and definition through launch and ongoing improvement.
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback from store teams and customers to guide requirements and prioritization.
  • Work with product design, data, and retail teams to identify, evaluate, and size new opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering to define solutions that balance user value, business outcomes, and implementation effort.
  • Facilitate alignment sessions to clarify scope, ownership, dependencies, and priorities across cross-functional groups.
  • Establish and monitor success measures such as OKRs and KPIs for the assigned product area.
  • Support rollout adoption through change management for features impacting store associates and internal teams.
  • Communicate product strategy clearly to senior leaders and retail stakeholders through strong written and verbal presentations.

Experience and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in BA/BS is required. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of digital product management experience, preferably in mobile products or SaaS, along with a strong ability to explain technical concepts to executive audiences. Success in this role also depends on comfort with ambiguity, a proactive mindset, and experience collaborating with engineering and design teams in an agile environment. Prior work with broader cross-functional stakeholders is important, and exposure to payment or order flows, CRM, or retail technology is considered a strong advantage.

Compensation and Additional Information

The target compensation for this position is $110,000 to $120,000, depending on skills and experience, with location differentials if the role is performed outside New York City. L’Occitane en Provence provides a competitive compensation package along with comprehensive benefits.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace free from discrimination and harassment. It welcomes candidates of all genders, ages, sexual orientations, ethnicities, backgrounds, religions, beliefs, and ability statuses, as well as all other dimensions of diversity.

Employment may be contingent on reference verification and a background check. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification, as long as they believe their background is a strong fit for the role.
