Tech Recruiter

The Role

As a Technology Recruiter, you will be instrumental in identifying and engaging top-tier AI and machine learning professionals within the US market. You will manage the entire candidate lifecycle from initial sourcing to the first interview stage, collaborating closely with a client team based in New York. This role operates on South African hours, synchronized with US Eastern Time, typically from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM SAST.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and engage high-calibre AI and ML talent across the US market using LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM platforms, and targeted outreach strategies.
• Conduct structured candidate interviews to assess technical capabilities, market fit, and role alignment.
• Build and manage candidate pipelines while maintaining excellent communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Match qualified candidates to active opportunities and present shortlisted profiles to account managers.
• Re-engage and enrich existing talent pools while continuously developing new candidate pipelines.
• Participate in client briefing calls and leverage AI tools, transcripts, and LLM technologies to enhance sourcing strategies.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve candidate engagement and recruitment workflows.

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience in a 360 or delivery-focused recruitment role, ideally within technology, AI, data, or engineering.
• Experience recruiting within the US market, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and hiring practices.
• Strong sourcing expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment technologies; experience with AI-enabled sourcing tools is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior technical professionals.
• A self-motivated and proactive approach, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to work US-aligned hours from South Africa (approximately midday to 9 PM SAST).
• A commercial mindset and ambition to build a high-performing desk and maximise earning potential.
