Role overview

This position is with Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, in Singapore. The role is based onsite at 10 Loyang Crescent, Phase 1. Pratt & Whitney is a global leader in aircraft engine and auxiliary power unit design, manufacturing, and servicing for commercial, military, and business aviation. The wider RTX group also works across aerospace and defense technologies to support customers with advanced engineering solutions.

Key duties

• Carry out mechanical and chemical cleaning activities according to the production plan.
• Follow daily work instructions in line with quality procedures and established standards.
• Take part in EH&S, quality, ethics, and continuous-improvement programs and projects.
• Work with engine manuals, standards, and contractual documents governing the cleaning or NDT methods used in MRO.
• Apply basic knowledge of relevant materials and inspection acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and calibrate cleaning or NDT equipment, process components, assess acceptability, and record findings.
• Handle other workshop-related tasks assigned by the engineer or cell leader.

Required qualifications

• Diploma-level technical training such as NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and chemical cleaning methods used in aviation MRO.
• Strong sense of integrity, ownership, and commitment to quality.
• Availability to work rotating shifts.

Preferred profile

• Someone who is self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
• Prior aerospace exposure involving aircraft structures, engines, or components is preferred.
