Role overview
This opportunity is aimed at recent graduates who want to begin a technology career in a global aviation environment. The position offers a one-year development journey within Emirates Group IT, giving hands-on experience, coaching, and exposure to a range of technology areas such as AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and software engineering.
As a Technology Associate, you will contribute to the creation, delivery, and upkeep of digital solutions and products that support and improve Emirates Group operations.
What you will do
- Carry out technical work that helps build scalable and maintainable solutions using established engineering practices.
- Assist in reviewing business and system needs and support the technical design process for aligned solution development.
- Build, configure, test, and roll out technology solutions in a team setting while meeting functional and technical needs.
- Investigate issues, identify root causes, and help resolve application or system problems, escalating unresolved matters through the proper internal channels.
- Work with cross-functional colleagues to spot inefficiencies and suggest practical improvements, while following Emirates Group IT standards and governance.
- Take part in unit testing, validation, and quality assurance work under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help maintain technology playbooks, standards documents, and other governance materials.
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a closely related technology discipline.
- A CGPA of 3.0 or above, or an equivalent academic result.
- At least 1 year of experience gained through technology coursework or internships.
Skills and knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Clear communication and a constructive team attitude.
- Basic understanding of Agile and DevOps delivery methods.
- Familiarity with unit testing, functional testing, and test automation concepts.
- Interest in learning and adopting new technologies.
- Exposure to one or more modern technology areas such as application development, cloud, enterprise platforms, integration, data, digital, or security.
