Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Bhubaneswar for a Tendering Specialist. The role centers on finding suitable government and institutional tenders, studying tender documents in detail, and building accurate, compliant, and competitive bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, the specialist will work with internal technical and commercial stakeholders to collect the required inputs, prepare pricing estimates, and make sure all tenders and supporting papers are submitted on time. The role also includes keeping tender records organized, monitoring bid progress, reviewing results, and using that feedback to strengthen future proposals. In addition, the person may coordinate with clients, suppliers, and procurement officials to resolve queries and assist with contract closure.

Qualifications and Skills

The position calls for strong knowledge of tender management, including document review, compliance checks, and end-to-end bid coordination. Good analytical ability is needed to interpret technical and commercial requirements, assess risks, and prepare cost estimates. Clear communication is important for working with teams, external stakeholders, and authorities. Experience in proposal drafting, including technical and commercial submissions and formal correspondence, is also valuable. A working understanding of procurement, vendor coordination, quotation collection, and basic procurement processes is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, commerce, business, or a related discipline is desirable. Previous exposure to tendering or contracts, especially in electrical or infrastructure-related work, will be an added advantage. Comfort with spreadsheets, word processing, presentation tools, and online tender platforms is useful. The role also requires strong attention to detail, deadline management, and accurate documentation.
