About SAESL
Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) is a joint venture formed by Rolls-Royce Plc and SIA Engineering Company. Since beginning operations in 2001, the company has grown into a leading provider of engine overhaul and component repair services.
Driven by continued business expansion, SAESL has enlarged its facilities and developed additional capabilities across both core business areas. Its engine overhaul division is equipped to service the full Trent engine family, including Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000, and Trent XWB. SAESL is the only Trent engine MRO provider capable of supporting every product variant. The business can overhaul and repair more than 300 Trent engines annually and operates a modern engine test facility that supports fast turnaround times.

About This Role
This traineeship is designed for motivated candidates who want to build a career in aviation but do not yet meet the qualifications required for a trained aircraft engine technician. Successful trainees who complete the programme can look forward to progressing into a qualified aircraft engine technician role.
About The Traineeship Program
- A fully sponsored one-year training programme is provided, with allowances included
- The training path combines company orientation, classroom learning, and hands-on experience
- The first stage is familiarisation at SAESL to help trainees understand the work environment before formal classes begin
- A three-month classroom component covers both theoretical and practical learning and is delivered and assessed by an external training academy
- The remaining nine months are spent in on-the-job training at SAESL, where trainees work with the well-known Rolls-Royce Trent engines
- After completing the programme, trainees must serve a two-year bond with SAESL
Requirements
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Engineering, such as Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Precision Engineering
- Must have completed full-time National Service or received an exemption
- Willingness to work rotating shifts is required
