Role overview

Barna Recycling is seeking a Transport Logistics Coordinator to help keep daily collections and route completion running smoothly. The position involves solving operational issues as they arise, supporting efficient route execution, and contributing as part of a seven-person team focused on reliable service delivery.

Key duties

  • Track communication with vehicles, drivers, and onboard systems to ensure service standards are met.
  • Review fleet performance, identify the factors behind results, and work with the wider logistics team to improve operations.
  • Coordinate drivers and crew members according to route demand.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently with internal colleagues.
  • Verify that scheduled work and customer requests have been completed.

Skills and experience needed

  • Comfort using Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace tools.
  • Ability to work independently and stay motivated without close supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to see the bigger operational picture.
  • Problem-solving ability and a practical approach to bringing people together around solutions.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong customer focus.
  • Self-driven, ambitious, and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.

Terms and conditions

  • Pay is negotiable.
  • Working hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
  • The role is permanent and is subject to a 6-month probation period.
  • Work location: Carrowbrowne, Headford Road, Co. Galway.
