Role Overview

This position is for a UI/UX Designer based in Australia. The role focuses on shaping clear, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences across web, mobile, and other digital touchpoints.

What You’ll Do

You will partner with product managers, developers, researchers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into practical design solutions that improve usability and customer experience.

  • Carry out user research and study user behavior to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Create personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
  • Build and maintain design systems to keep the product experience consistent.
  • Use usability testing, feedback, and performance data to refine and improve designs over time.
  • Contribute through every stage of the product cycle, from early ideation and concept work through implementation and optimization.
  • Balance user expectations, technical constraints, and business priorities to produce accessible and visually strong experiences.

What the Role Calls For

The ideal candidate combines creativity with analytical thinking, communicates clearly, and enjoys solving complex problems through thoughtful design decisions.

  • Solid grasp of UX principles, UI design, and human-centered design methods.
  • Hands-on experience with design and prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
  • Ability to plan and conduct research, run usability tests, and analyze user journeys.
  • Experience producing wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and design documentation.
  • Strong eye for visual design, including typography, layout, color, and information hierarchy.
  • Understanding of responsive design and experiences across multiple platforms and screen sizes.
  • Awareness of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design practices.
  • Capability to create and manage design systems and reusable interface components.
  • Good problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas, design choices, and the reasoning behind them.
  • Experience working with product, engineering, and business teams during development.
  • Basic knowledge of frontend development concepts and design handoff processes is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar iterative product workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • A portfolio showing end-to-end design work, UX thinking, and visual design ability.
