Role Overview
A global investment firm with an established footprint in Asia and Europe is hiring a technically strong, hands-on Web Developer for its Singapore office. The selected candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of business-critical web applications and digital platforms.
This position suits someone who enjoys working across the complete development lifecycle, including maintaining and upgrading existing systems as well as building new solutions that improve user experience, functionality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, support, and continuously maintain both internal and external websites and web applications.
- Improve existing digital platforms and help modernise older applications.
- Develop reliable integrations with external APIs and third-party services.
- Investigate, debug, and fix application problems to keep systems stable and performant.
- Partner with business users and stakeholders to turn operational needs into workable technical solutions.
- Improve site speed, security, and usability across different browsers and devices.
- Contribute to analytics and digital projects, including tracking setup and performance reporting.
- Prepare and update technical documentation and internal knowledge materials.
- Look for ways to strengthen workflows, technology choices, and development practices.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in web application development.
- Strong practical knowledge of PHP, Classic ASP, WordPress, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, MySQL, and MSSQL.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
- Background in supporting and upgrading established or legacy systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving ability.
- Comfort working independently while handling several priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative working style with stakeholders.
