Wedding Planner

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated professional to join as a Wedding Planner. The role focuses on designing, coordinating, and delivering bespoke weddings and receptions that align with client expectations and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Build monthly wedding forecasts and develop pricing approaches for different wedding seasons.
• Keep the Opera system accurate by refreshing option dates, contact information, and booking details.
• Check the ballroom before each event to ensure it matches the guest’s specifications.
• Brief employees before functions and supervise the event to maintain a seamless operation.
• Stay fully informed about the hotel’s equipment inventory and venue capacities.
• Work with external suppliers to ensure correct setup and confirm they follow hotel policies and contractor terms and conditions.
• Promote in-house offerings to improve conference and banqueting revenue.
• Ensure guests make the required deposit on time in line with the contract.
• Track event orders and maintain clear communication with other departments, especially banquet operations and the kitchen.
• Follow up on proposals, and when needed, issue revised offers based on guest requirements.
• Collect feedback on pricing, availability, and offer letters from the Director of Catering & Events.

Education, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have a hospitality degree and prior experience in catering sales within a hotel environment. Awareness of current trends, along with interest and knowledge in fashion and design, will be considered an advantage. Strong written and spoken English is required, and Arabic language skills are preferred.
