Role Overview

This internship sits within Financial Management and focuses on using AI and analytics to build dashboards, reports, automated workflows, and data models that improve decision-making across the organisation. The role is part of an initial build-out of a data analytics hub and will support insight generation across multiple entities and systems.

What You Will Do

• Create AI-enabled dashboards and reports with tools such as Streamlit, Tableau, and Snowflake Cortex so business users can quickly act on insights.
• Develop, manage, and govern semantic models in Snowflake, including metrics, dimensions, hierarchies, and relationships, to ensure analytics are consistent and AI-ready.
• Support the early-stage development of a data analytics hub that produces insights, trend analysis, anomaly detection, and variance analysis across multiple systems.
• Design automation solutions, end-to-end data pipelines, and workflow improvements that reduce manual work and improve scalability.
• Maintain clear documentation for dashboards, automation logic, technical specifications, and user guides to make solutions easy to understand and sustain.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to protect data quality, governance, and the long-term reliability of analytics and automation solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on ability in SQL and/or Python for data handling and dashboard development; experience with libraries such as pandas or snowflake-ml-python is advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
• Comfort working with large datasets, including cleansing, validation, and quality checks.
• Capability to gather reporting and business needs and convert them into dashboards and automated solutions.
• Experience with data visualization tools, with Streamlit preferred.
• Exposure to automation platforms such as Power Automate or UiPath is preferred.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Well-organised, eager to learn, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Preferred: Experience building governed semantic models in Snowflake and translating business definitions into standardized metrics, dimensions, hierarchies, and relationships while keeping data quality, lineage, and governance strong for reliable Cortex AI-powered analytics.

Internship Programme

• The internship runs for 20 to 24 weeks.
• You will work on real business problems using Snowflake’s latest AI and machine learning product suite.
• You will have access to a modern data stack that includes Snowflake and Cortex, BI tools such as Tableau and Streamlit, and automation platforms like UiPath and Power Automate.
• You will receive mentorship from experienced professionals in finance and accounting.
• Your work may have a tangible impact on business operations across different functions.
• You will engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges and reporting needs, then turn them into effective automated analytics solutions.
