Asset Manager

Role Overview

This part-time, on-site position in Dubai is focused on managing the full lifecycle of physical and financial assets within the Dubai Executive Council portfolio. The role supports effective asset governance, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making to help maximize asset value.

Key Duties

• Track how assets are performing and keep asset information accurate and up to date.
• Plan and coordinate periodic inspections, upkeep activities, and maintenance timelines.
• Review how assets are being used, assess associated costs, and identify opportunities to improve value.
• Prepare summaries, reports, and practical recommendations related to asset optimization.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting tasks connected to asset ownership and management.
• Work with internal teams and outside partners to ensure regulatory, policy, and standards compliance.
• Support planning for acquiring new assets, disposing of assets, and replacing aging assets.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while following governance and risk management practices.
• Contribute ideas and support for ongoing improvements in asset management procedures.

Required Background

• Solid capability in asset management and financial analysis, with hands-on exposure to asset tracking, valuation, and lifecycle planning.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports, along with confidence using spreadsheets and asset management or ERP platforms.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills to handle multiple assets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional groups and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with public sector or government operations, along with the related compliance and regulatory environment, is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, engineering, or a similar discipline is expected; relevant certifications in asset management or facilities management are a plus.
