Bartender

Role overview

This is a full-time bartender position located on-site in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. The role centers on preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, keeping service smooth, and creating a friendly atmosphere for guests.

Key duties

• Welcome guests, take drink orders, and offer helpful suggestions when needed.
• Mix and serve beverages according to standard recipes and safety guidelines.
• Keep the bar stocked by tracking inventory and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain a tidy, hygienic, and well-organized bar area along with all related equipment.
• Accept cash and digital payments, issue correct change, and reconcile receipts.
• Work with the wider team during busy periods and event service.

Qualifications and work expectations

• Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage service standards and bartending methods, including drink preparation and responsible alcohol service.
• Experience handling cash accurately, including payment processing and change management.
• Previous experience in bartending or a related hospitality position is an advantage.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to hygiene and safety practices.
• Basic number skills and familiarity with POS systems are helpful.
