About the role
Swissport is a major aviation services company supporting ground handling, cargo handling, and passenger services for more than 300 million travellers each year. Within the business, Carbridge focuses on bus transport across airport environments, including airside and landside services at airports in 47 countries.
This opportunity is based in Pinkenba, Queensland, and involves driving airport buses between domestic and international terminals, parking areas, and the DFO. The role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy aviation setting, values safe driving, and can deliver a smooth passenger experience.
The position is available across 7-day rosters with flexible working hours, and both part-time and full-time arrangements may be considered. The workplace culture is described as supportive and positive.
Key duties
- Move passengers safely and efficiently between terminals, parking locations, and the DFO.
- Provide helpful customer support, including assistance with questions, luggage, and boarding.
- Keep the vehicle clean and safe, complete regular checks, and report any defects or concerns.
- Follow airport and company safety procedures to protect passengers and staff.
- Work closely with the broader team to support timely and well-coordinated operations.
- Deliver professional service to passengers and clients throughout the airport setting.
- Assist travellers with general enquiries in terminal and car park areas.
Requirements
- Hold a Medium Rigid (MR) licence or higher.
- Have a valid Public Transport Drivers Authority (PTD).
- Consistently prioritise safe, high-quality service.
- Be available for rotating shift work across the week.
- Communicate well and work effectively in a team environment.
- Be able to drive on both landside and airside areas, with airside driving subject to training.
- Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
