About the role

Lyft’s mission is to connect people and help them move with purpose. The company is building an inclusive environment where every team member can contribute and grow. In the autonomous vehicle space, Lyft combines its fleet operations expertise with its rideshare network to support the next generation of transportation. Through Flexdrive, Lyft is creating the operating foundation for AV fleets and has launched its first AV depot in Nashville, Tennessee.

As a Data Analyst focused on autonomous vehicles, you will support decision-making across both AV depot operations and the AV rideshare network. This position is suited to someone who enjoys high-impact problem solving, can work across multiple functions, and is comfortable operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments. The role reports to the Senior Analytics Manager within Lyft’s Global Growth organization and offers exposure to senior leadership.

What you will do

  • Create reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for internal stakeholders.
  • Turn data analysis into practical recommendations, clear narratives, and guidance that improves business performance.
  • Coordinate with external partners on data requirements, service-level tracking, and incoming data requests.
  • Partner with business and leadership teams to define KPIs and metrics, strengthen operational discipline, and identify ways to improve results.
  • Work with FP&A partners on P&L management and financial modeling.
  • Connect operations with technology by developing expertise in the vehicle lifecycle, from fleet operations to rider transport.
  • Own complex data problems end to end and drive stakeholders toward implemented solutions.
  • Build and improve processes that support regular business performance tracking.
  • Lead meetings, organize work clearly, and present findings in larger forums.

What you need

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business analytics, investment banking with strong analytical exposure, and/or a top-tier consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of data models, BI methods, data architecture principles, and metadata.
  • Hands-on SQL experience with raw datasets; Python or another programming language is a strong advantage.
  • A track record of influencing business decisions.
  • Ability to succeed in a lean, fast-moving organization and work well in ambiguity.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across individual contributors, managers, and senior leaders.
  • A process-oriented, operational mindset with a bias toward action and execution.
  • Strong communication skills for translating technical work into leadership-ready insights.
  • Prior exposure to P&L work and/or the mobility or auto-tech industry is a plus.

Benefits and perks

  • Medical, dental, life insurance, and disability coverage options.
  • Mental health support.
  • Family-building support.
  • Child care and pet-related benefits.
  • Lyft-funded Health Care Savings Account access.
  • RRSP matching to support long-term savings.
  • Flexible paid time off for salaried employees, in addition to provincial holidays, with manager approval.
  • Hourly team members receive 15 days of paid time off, plus one additional day for each year of service.
  • 18 weeks of paid parental top-up leave for biological, adoptive, and foster parents.
  • Subsidized commuter benefits and Lyft ride credits.
