Role overview

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking an accomplished HR Manager to take charge of people operations in a hospitality setting. This role is suited to a hands-on, proactive leader who enjoys improving team performance, strengthening culture, and supporting business growth. You will have the chance to influence the hotel’s strategy while developing your own career in a supportive and high-performing environment.

In this position, you will report directly to the Hotel General Manager, with an additional reporting line to the Group HR Manager. The role focuses on running HR activity smoothly across the property, supporting excellent guest service through strong people management, and helping the hotel perform well both operationally and financially.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring activity for the hotel, covering both external recruitment and internal progression planning.
• Support learning and development so employees are prepared for future career steps.
• Build and implement engagement initiatives that strengthen the hotel’s workplace culture.
• Manage industrial and employee relations matters in a proactive way.
• Ensure the property meets HR compliance requirements, including accurate records and documentation.
• Oversee payroll budgeting and payroll processing using time and attendance systems.

Requirements

• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in an HR management position, ideally within hospitality or another customer-facing environment.
• A self-motivated, forward-thinking approach with the ability to work independently.
• A third-level qualification in HRM, Business, or a similar field; CIPD qualification is desirable.
• Proven experience improving employee engagement.
• Background in payroll administration and cost control.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Sound knowledge of employment law and related legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
