Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for an entry-level to junior data analyst who is careful, curious, and comfortable turning raw information into useful business insights. This position is well suited to recent graduates or early-career professionals who want to build a career in analytics, reporting, and data-informed decision support.

Key responsibilities

• Gather information from different sources, clean and verify it, and arrange it so it remains accurate and consistent.
• Study datasets to spot trends, patterns, unusual results, and practical insights that can guide business choices.
• Create and update reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that help with operational and strategic decisions.
• Monitor key performance indicators and other business metrics.
• Provide stakeholders with analysis-based insights and recommendations.
• Run data-quality checks and help maintain integrity across databases and reporting systems.
• Pull, transform, and work with data using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
• Support forecasting, trend reviews, performance analysis, and other ad hoc reporting needs.
• Record data sources, reporting steps, methods, and findings clearly.
• Work with teams across operations, finance, marketing, HR, and technology.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation efforts through reporting and analysis.
• Keep up with current analytics tools, reporting platforms, and best practices in the field.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data analysis, statistics, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts, and analytical functions.
• SQL knowledge for querying, extracting, and manipulating data is preferred.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is an advantage.
• Basic awareness of databases, data structures, and reporting methods.
• Exposure to Python, R, or similar analytical languages is a plus.
• Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Good communication and presentation ability, especially when explaining results to non-technical audiences.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance is preferred.
