The Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Data Quality Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension. This part-time role involves working 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, totaling 25 hours per week. The primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and utility of financial data generated by our software tools. You will review bank statements and other financial documents, particularly in complex scenarios where extraction tools face challenges such as unreconciled balances, unusual formatting, or non-standard transaction patterns. Your role will involve using your judgment and meticulous attention to detail to rectify errors, verify running balances, and guarantee the integrity of the data used by legal professionals. This is an entry-level position, and formal qualifications are not a prerequisite; emphasis is placed on attention to detail, inquisitiveness, logical thinking, and proficiency with software.

What You'll Do

• Utilize proprietary software to extract information from financial documents like bank statements.
• Scrutinize extracted data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Verify financial figures, transactions, and calculations to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
• Investigate anomalies in data formatting, reconciliation issues, and other complex cases.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance internal tools, improve accuracy, and boost efficiency and automation.
• Identify recurring data patterns and propose enhancements to products and operational processes.
• Test new software features and provide practical user feedback.
• Develop documentation and resources for internal tools and data extraction procedures.
• Offer broader support to the development team, including administrative, clerical, and data entry tasks.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, part-time, working 25 hours per week. The location is Battersea (Hybrid).
