Laundry Worker

Overview

Healthcare Services Group is hiring a Laundry Worker to support linen and garment care in a long-term care setting. This role is essential to keeping laundry items clean, available, and properly managed so residents and staff can enjoy a well-maintained environment. What You’ll Do

• Gather, separate, wash, dry, fold, and hand out linens and personal clothing.
• Use laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Keep track of laundry-related work and escalate equipment problems or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and universal precautions to maintain sanitation standards.
• Provide courteous service when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior laundry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate well with occupants of the building, administration, and HCSG leadership while carrying out daily tasks.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals.
• Should be able to follow spoken and written directions and handle repetitive routine work every day.
• Residency in the service area is required.
