Role overview
Cadmus works in the space between a university’s goals for student learning and the experience students actually have. As the Learning Support Manager, you help close that gap by turning strong assessment design into real outcomes inside partner institutions.
Cadmus is already used by students in more than 50 countries, and adoption continues to grow across APAC, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Canada. The platform is established, and the impact of better assessment design on learning outcomes, student engagement, and academic integrity is increasingly well evidenced. This role sits at the centre of making that impact visible and practical for institutions.
You will work mainly with academics, leading workshops, advising on assessment redesign, and supporting educators through pilot launches and enterprise rollouts. The role suits someone who is pedagogy-led, comfortable with AI-enabled tools, and confident speaking with people who are deeply experienced in education. You do not need to know everything, but you do need to be inquisitive, direct, and steady under pressure.
What success looks like in the first year
- Academic teams at your institutions are delivering better assessment practice, with clear examples of briefs revised, workshops that changed how people work, and sceptical staff who became advocates. The improvement should be measurable and real, not just anecdotal.
- Your partner institutions renew because they can see concrete outcomes for students and staff, rather than simply because the relationship was well managed. Cadmus measures success through evidence of change.
- You become a dependable and trusted contact for the academics you support, including before problems arise. Your advice on assessment design becomes valued early in conversations.
- Insights from your field work help shape Cadmus’s thinking in the product and learning teams, influencing how at least one important problem is approached. Knowledge should flow in both directions.
Working at Cadmus
Cadmus is a small, globally distributed team that combines the pace of a growth-stage company with the seriousness of an academic organisation. The role offers genuine autonomy, with responsibility for understanding, developing, and being accountable for your institutions. You will work closely with a learning team that treats pedagogy seriously and a product team that wants practical feedback from the field.
The position is remote-friendly, but it is relationship-driven by nature. You should expect to be in regular conversations and meetings with academics, acting as the link between what Cadmus understands and what institutions need.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience creating and delivering learning experiences, whether as a teacher, learning designer, trainer, or in a similar role.
- Strong grounding in pedagogy that shapes how you approach problems, not just how you describe them.
- Experience helping people adopt software within a complex organisational setting.
- A warm and assured presence in one-on-one conversations and in front of groups, along with strong writing skills and the ability to move between senior institutional leaders and frontline academics with ease.
- A genuine commitment to teaching and learning, with assessment improvement viewed as central to the work.
- Proven ability to earn the trust of sceptical users through credibility and intellectual honesty rather than persuasion alone.
- Comfort working in challenging institutional environments and a preference for complexity over simplicity.
- A personal connection to the mission of improving the difference between a student who learns and one who does not.
