Retail Shift Manager

Role overview

We’re looking for a Retail Shift Manager to join the team in Tonbridge. In this position, you’ll help keep store standards high every day by supporting your colleagues, staying organised, and taking charge of the shop floor in a busy retail environment. The role offers responsibility, development, and the chance to grow into future leadership opportunities.

The pay for this role is £15.45 to £15.95 per hour on a 35+ hour contract. You’ll also receive 30-35 days of holiday on a pro rata basis, a 10% in-store discount, enhanced family leave, and other benefits. Additional pay applies for bank holiday work at £2.00 extra per hour and for night shifts at £3.50 extra per hour.

What you will do

• Lead, encourage, and support the team while working in line with the company’s leadership approach and principles.
• Deal with issues quickly and assign tasks so the shift stays on track.
• Help build a workplace where colleagues can perform well and contribute confidently.
• Take responsibility for store operations and team management when the Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager is not available.
• Oversee freshness checks, cash handling, stock control, and inventory processes to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Deliver a strong customer experience during every store visit.
