Role Overview
This opportunity is for an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) who can support AI training work. You’ll join a large coding community working on practical AI development tasks, contributing to systems used to improve how AI models learn and respond.
The work mixes flexibility with technical challenge. You may be asked to solve coding problems, build feature-rich applications, and analyze data through visualizations. Some contributors use this as a side project alongside a full-time job, while others treat it as their main work and select assignments based on their own availability.
How the Process Works
After creating an account, you’ll complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If you clear it, you’ll receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will be unlocked on the platform.
Responsibilities
- Create and solve a range of coding tasks that help train AI systems, with a particular focus on Android-related development.
- Produce clean code examples along with well-written, easy-to-follow explanations.
- Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
- Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models.
Compensation and Contract Details
Projects are paid on an hourly basis, with rates starting at $50-$100+ per hour, and some assignments may pay more. Payment is issued through PayPal, which also handles currency conversion from USD. No payment or fee is ever requested from applicants. This is an independent contractor arrangement.
Eligibility and Requirements
This role is open only to applicants located in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Candidates outside these countries will not see available work or assessments on the platform.
A bachelor’s degree is required, either completed or currently in progress. Applicants should have native or bilingual-level English, strong writing and grammar skills, and prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is preferred. Experience with Kotlin is preferred, and proficiency in at least one of these languages or frameworks is also needed: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
Additional Information
You can choose which projects to take on and decide when to work. The role is designed to be done on your own computer and from home.
