Role Overview
This position sits within the Food and Beverage & Culinary function at The Pearl Island in Doha, Qatar. It is a full-time, non-management role. The supervisor is responsible for guiding stewarding activities so cleaning operations run smoothly and kitchen support is delivered efficiently.
Core Duties
The role involves directing and assisting stewards to improve cleaning efficiency, checking that water temperature and chemical concentrations are suitable for sanitation, and ensuring these readings are properly recorded. You will also help with banquet plate-ups, support cooks and kitchen colleagues with ad hoc tasks, supply chefs with required items, and assist banquet and buffet operations by moving stock and making sure supplies are adequately replenished. Cleaned equipment and utensils must be returned to their designated storage areas, and cleaning tools and machines such as dishwashers, manual wash stations, pot-scrubbing areas, and trash compactors must be operated and maintained.
Leadership And Team Support
This job includes assisting management with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, and employee motivation. The supervisor is expected to coach team members, support a positive work environment, and help the team work toward shared goals.

Physical Requirements
The position requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. It also involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as reaching above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Work may include movement across sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required.
