Role overview
This position supports the internal audit function within the Investment and Development Office in Ras Al Khaimah. The role is centered on carrying out audit assignments, documenting work in line with professional standards, and helping ensure issues, risks, and control weaknesses are clearly identified and reported.
Core responsibilities
- Help deliver the internal audit plan by completing assigned working papers on time.
- Draft audit documentation that follows professional requirements and includes adequate evidence for findings.
- Carry out the daily tasks involved in audit engagements for different clients in an efficient and effective manner.
- Raise accounting and auditing issues with Assistant Managers, Managers, and the Head of Department.
- Work with clients to keep the flow of information to the audit team smooth and timely.
- Apply the audit testing program prepared by the Assistant Manager and assess whether controls linked to key risks are properly designed and operating as intended.
- Arrange audit working papers so they can be used to prepare reports on results, observations, and recommendations.
- Summarize audit findings and suggest corrective actions, operational improvements, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Close out review comments from the Manager and Assistant Manager before finalizing conclusions.
- Support ad-hoc assignments and special projects as directed by management.
- Safeguard the organization’s reputation by handling information confidentially.
- Complete and submit a weekly timesheet.

The role requires discretion in dealing with sensitive organizational information, along with timely completion of weekly time reporting.
