Role overview

Based at Adelaide Airport, this full-time chef position is with dnata catering & retail, a major provider of inflight catering and retail services in Australia’s aviation sector. The role is set in a busy open-plan kitchen where you will prepare and cook a wide variety of hot and cold international meals in commercial volumes for airline customers.

What you will do

• Produce hot and cold meals for business class and economy class passengers across multiple airlines.
• Monitor stock levels and help reduce food waste.
• Keep the kitchen clean and maintain a consistently hygienic workspace.
• Follow menu requirements closely, along with food safety, HACCP, WHS and QSAI standards.

What you will need

Success in this role comes from combining technical cookery skills with strong teamwork and the ability to stay effective in a fast-paced setting. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent level of hands-on experience is preferred. Prior work in a commercial kitchen is desirable, though not essential.
