Overview
This opportunity is part of a project-based program that pairs subject-matter experts with AI-related work for major technology clients. The focus is on assessing, refining, and stress-testing AI systems through specialized tasks. This is not a permanent role; participation is organized around individual projects.
What you may work on
- Creating original computational chemistry challenges that mirror real-world research workflows.
- Writing Python-based problems that can be solved with tools such as NumPy, SciPy, and chemistry-focused libraries.
- Making sure the tasks are demanding enough that they cannot be solved by hand in a practical amount of time, which may span days or weeks.
- Building tasks that require deeper reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modelling.
- Grounding problems in authentic research scenarios or practical chemistry applications.
- Checking solutions through Python using standard computational chemistry methods.
- Preparing clear problem statements and supplying verified correct answers.
Candidate profile
The role suits chemistry professionals with Python experience who are open to flexible, non-permanent project work. An appropriate background would ideally include a degree in chemistry or a related discipline, along with practical exposure to numerical methods and computational chemistry concepts.
