Role Overview
This position involves driving Class 4 vehicles for delivery, collection, and general transportation work in Singapore. The role requires safe vehicle operation, proper cargo handling, route planning, documentation checks, and close coordination with internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Class 4 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner for deliveries, collections, and transport assignments.
- Make sure all items are loaded correctly, secured properly, and received by customers in good condition.
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections each day and escalate any faults, damage, or maintenance concerns without delay.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and maintain its basic condition.
- Arrange routes and trip timing to complete delivery jobs on schedule.
- Observe Singapore road regulations, workplace safety practices, and internal company procedures at all times.
- Check delivery notes, invoices, and other job-related documents before and after every trip.
- Support loading and unloading activities when needed.
- Record delivery details, fuel consumption, mileage, and other operational information accurately.
- Liaise with operations teams, warehouse staff, and customers regarding schedules and delivery requirements.
- Follow all applicable legal and regulatory rules for driving and transport operations.
- Take on additional ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
