Overview
J D Wetherspoon is hiring a Cleaner for The Moon Under Water in Colindale, London. The role is focused on keeping the pub consistently spotless so guests enjoy a high standard of cleanliness throughout their visit.
Compensation and benefits
The pay for this position is £12.91 per hour. In addition, the package includes a free meal and drink while on shift, a 20% discount on food, drinks and hotel stays for you and up to three guests when off duty, and a bonus scheme that can add up to 19% of your pay. There is also £1 extra per hour for work completed between midnight and 5:59am, paid holiday, free shares after a qualifying period, a loyalty reward scheme, and access to guaranteed-hours or variable-hours contracts.

Role summary
You will be responsible for cleaning every area of the pub thoroughly and helping maintain excellent standards at all times. Shift patterns can vary because the venues open early and close late, so morning, evening, weekend and late-finishing shifts may be available.
Key duties
Daily work includes cleaning customer areas, toilets, the bar, the kitchen, staff spaces and outdoor areas. You will also complete scheduled daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks in line with the site’s operating procedures, use cleaning products and equipment correctly, keep an eye on stock levels, report when supplies need replenishing, and pass on any maintenance or pest-related concerns to the duty manager. You will be expected to interact politely with guests by greeting them and saying thank you and goodbye, and to complete the required induction, job-specific training and refresher learning while contributing to ongoing improvement.
