Construction Helper

Overview

Multiverse Construction Ltd. is hiring a Construction Helper for work in Calgary, Alberta. This is a full-time position based at job sites, with duties carried out in person only.

Language Requirement

English is required for this role.

Education Requirement

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed.

Experience Requirement

Applicants should have between 1 and less than 7 months of experience.

Work Location

This is an on-site position. The job must be performed at the physical work location, and remote work is not available.

Work Setting

Work may take place at multiple sites.

Job Duties

The role involves supporting construction crews with general site work and manual labour.

• Move, load, and unload construction supplies and materials.
• Set up and take down concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• Prepare, pour, spread, and mix materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Help with framing houses, building walls, and constructing roofs.
• Assist with demolition work on buildings.
• Gather, sort, and stack usable salvaged materials.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks.
• Clean up chemical spills and other hazardous contaminants.
• Clear rubble and debris from construction areas.
• Operate by tending or feeding machines and equipment used on site.
• Support skilled trades workers as needed.
