Data Center IT Manager - Dublin

Role overview

This position is responsible for leading IT operations and maintenance for a data center environment in Dublin. The role focuses on keeping server hardware and network infrastructure stable, safe, and efficient while meeting service targets and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily upkeep and management of data center server hardware and network equipment.
• Create and put into practice IT operations and maintenance plans that support reliable service and stable infrastructure.
• Track operational metrics such as repair turnaround and risk closure performance to ensure targets are achieved.
• Apply standardized procedures and make sure work orders meet SLA expectations.
• Drive safe and compliant operations across the data center and help build mechanisms to identify and reduce major risks.
• Improve maintenance workflows and energy-efficiency practices to strengthen operational performance.
• Develop maintenance policies and emergency response procedures that increase the resilience of IT systems and equipment.
• Provide technical support tools and methods that improve troubleshooting speed and effectiveness.
• Investigate and resolve critical issues involving networks, servers, and other on-site IT problems.
• Lead the data center IT operations team, including performance reviews, talent development, and capability building.
• Plan and deliver technical training to raise IT service quality.
• Coordinate with relevant teams, align resources, reduce operational risk, and ensure strategic plans are implemented effectively.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance management or IT-related project work involving servers, networks, and hardware.
• Experience in data center operations and maintenance is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of server and network infrastructure, IT service delivery, and ITSM practices.
• Proven ability to design operational processes and standards and ensure they are followed in line with business needs.
• Ability to meet SLA-driven stability goals and troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
• Leadership experience with teams and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and resources for major initiatives.
• Strong ownership, initiative, communication skills, and emergency response capability.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity operations environment.
• English fluency is mandatory because it is the primary work language.
• Mandarin Chinese and/or the local language is an added advantage.
• The role requires onsite presence at the facility on business days.
