Role Overview

Pixel Systems is hiring a Data Operations Assistant to support a major project for a well-known German maritime logistics company. The role is centered on taking fragmented, messy information and converting it into clean, dependable data that can be used in modern systems. You will help move records between platforms, check that information is correct, and make sure the tools we build are loaded with accurate data.

This is a fully remote position. You will work closely with senior developers and help connect older spreadsheet-based workflows with newer database-driven systems.

What You Will Do

Your work will form the base of our logistics projects. The main focus is cleaning legacy data and preparing it for migration into new systems. This is not an algorithm-heavy role; it is about making sure every record is correctly formatted and accurate before it is released into production.

• Go through large client spreadsheets to spot mistakes, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
• Reformat data so it matches Postgres database requirements.
• Perform simple validation checks to confirm that imported data aligns with the original source files.
• Use developer-provided instructions to map spreadsheet columns to database fields.
• Create short video explanations or brief written notes describing how specific data sets were handled.
• Support manual data entry when certain records cannot be transferred automatically.
• Test internal admin panels to verify that imported information appears correctly for users.

• Any prior experience with logistics data or shipping records.
