Demand Planning Engineer

About the Role

Reef Group is seeking an analytical and driven Demand Planning Engineer to strengthen forecasting and demand planning across its retail business in Riyadh. The position focuses on building reliable demand projections, studying demand patterns, and using data to support planning decisions that improve stock availability, raise service performance, and reduce forecast gaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts by combining historical demand data, statistical forecasting methods, and analytical tools.
• Study sales behavior and demand trends across different timeframes and multiple selling channels.
• Measure how promotions, marketing activity, and seasonality affect demand, then reflect those findings in forecasts.
• Work to improve forecast accuracy and reduce the difference between projected and actual demand.
• Support Sales and Operations Planning meetings by preparing demand analysis and alternative planning scenarios.
• Create dashboards and analytical reports to monitor trends, forecast accuracy, and performance variances.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to understand market shifts and adjust forecasting assumptions accordingly.
• Review planning assumptions on a regular basis and update them using actual results and new business insights.
• Track forecasting performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze demand across retail branches, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
• Support new product introductions through initial forecasts and post-launch demand tracking.
• Help improve forecasting methods and advance the organization’s demand planning maturity.
• Coordinate with planning and supply chain teams so demand forecasts align with purchasing, distribution, and production plans.
• Assess how forecast accuracy affects inventory and service levels, and suggest improvement opportunities.
• Prepare regular management reports on demand planning performance and its operational impact.
• Use ERP and BI tools to maintain data quality and reporting accuracy in demand planning.
• Take part in continuous improvement efforts to make demand planning processes more efficient across supply chain operations.
