Role overview
Collen Construction is offering a 14-month fixed-term opportunity for a Design Manager based on site in Dublin. What the role involves
- Act as the communication link between architects, structural engineers, and service engineers working on the project for Collen.
- Keep Collen’s Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor informed of design changes and their commercial impact.
- Manage design development with strong awareness of financial and contractual implications.
- Lead and facilitate workshop meetings with specialist subcontractors.
- Oversee the submission and approval flow for drawings, designs, and materials, ensuring the client representative signs off as required.
- Identify design and risk issues early and work with the design team to resolve them before they become problems.
- Prepare forward-looking schedules and action plans.
- Coordinate closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager so all stakeholders remain aligned.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
