Diamant Sorter

Position Overview

As a diamond sorter at Paloma Diamonds, you will be responsible for sorting, classifying, and evaluating rough and polished diamonds against defined quality standards. Your work will involve checking color, clarity, cut quality, and size, then recording findings accurately so each batch is properly labeled and ready for the next stage of production or sale.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.

Key Duties

You will work closely with teams in cutting, quality control, and sales, using specialized inspection and measuring tools to assess diamonds and support smooth handover between departments.

Qualifications

• Practical training or proven experience in diamond sorting, gemstone evaluation, or a related field, ideally with familiarity in color, clarity, cut, and carat weight.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent concentration, and the ability to spot very small differences in appearance and quality.
• Confident use of magnifiers, measuring tools, and other specialist equipment, along with basic technical understanding.
• Good organizational skills, accurate record-keeping, a structured way of working, and a strong sense of responsibility when handling valuable goods.
• Willingness to work on site in an international setting, with integrity, teamwork, and sensitivity to ethics, transparency, and origin documentation such as the Kimberley Process and GIA certificates.
