The Ground Freight division provides transportation solutions including full truckload, less-than-truckload, brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs. These services connect warehouses, depots, cross-dock facilities, and consolidation/deconsolidation points through a network supported by operations and technology across asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

Role Summary

The Dispatcher will coordinate driver schedules for deliveries and pickups, while serving as a point of contact between customers, drivers, vendors, and internal management. The position requires keeping freight movements organized, resolving routing issues, and ensuring communication stays clear and timely.

Key Duties

• Assign drivers to freight deliveries and shipment collections.
• Stay in contact with customers and vendors regarding freight details, pickup/drop-off timing, and any special instructions.
• Plan routes in advance for drivers.
• Spot traffic-related delays or route issues and take corrective action to keep operations on schedule.
• Prepare dispatch-related paperwork for management and gather documents needed by employees, customers, or vendors.
• Keep accurate records of dispatch calls, route assignments, route changes, and pickup/delivery timings.
• Track truck maintenance and repair schedules.
• Record vendor complaints and concerns.
• Respond to calls from vendors, customers, and management and provide assistance as needed.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience

The role calls for strong time management, the ability to react quickly to route changes, and solid interpersonal communication. Candidates should understand local and state traffic rules, be comfortable multitasking and prioritizing, and have good command of computer tools and technology. Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills are also required. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of freight dispatching experience is expected.

Working Hours and Pay

This is an onsite full-time role in Georgia. The schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The starting pay is USD 22 to 25 per hour, subject to market conditions, location, and final candidate discussions as permitted by law.
