Finance Analyst

Role overview

This position is part of the Diabetes Care business within a global corporate finance function. Based in the UAE, the role supports financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and management reporting for the Gulf and Pakistan region, while working in line with the regional headquarters covering the Middle East, Turkey, and Pakistan.

Core responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly forecast cycles and business review processes, partnering with country general managers on revenue and cost projections.
• Match sales pipeline information with forecast assumptions and share consolidated forecasting packs with the regional headquarters on schedule.
• Carry out inventory analysis for distributor-led markets across the Gulf and Pakistan, both in-market and for market access planning.
• Track headcount and expense forecasts at both country and functional level.
• Support variance review against financial commitments and enter forecast data into the financial platform.
• Help coordinate the monthly financial close and safeguard the accuracy of the profit and loss statement, including sales, expenses, headcount, and investment figures during Latest Best Estimate cycles.
• Build business cases for new product introductions, tenders, and country-specific initiatives.
• Work with country stakeholders to uncover and develop new commercial opportunities.
• Provide regional function leads and country management with ad hoc analysis and reporting support.
• Contribute to ongoing process enhancement and produce actionable analytics for current operations.
• Follow corporate and local policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Skills and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required; an MBA or a professional accounting qualification is an added advantage.
• At least five years of post-qualification experience in financial planning and analysis is expected, preferably in pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
• Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office package.
• Exposure to Cognos-based finance systems is beneficial.
• Arabic language skills are preferred.
• Strong commercial understanding along with solid analytical and data collection skills.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver within short timelines.
• Self-driven, proactive working style with strong organisation and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfort working in a collaborative environment with clear communication skills.
