Role summary

This is a full-time remote opening for a Financial Software Engineer supporting a client’s financial platform. The position focuses on building and maintaining essential systems that handle live financial transactions and high-volume data flows.

What you will do

Build, refine, and scale backend services used for processing financial transactions.
Work closely with different teams to connect external financial APIs and payment gateways.
Put security controls in place that support regulatory compliance and protect sensitive data.
Develop code that is clean, reliable, efficient, and aligned with software engineering standards.
Investigate production problems and fix issues quickly to reduce interruptions and keep systems stable.

Skills and experience needed

Hands-on backend development experience in Java, Python, or Go.
Background in financial systems, payment processing, or a closely related area.
Strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API architecture.
Experience with relational or document databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with Docker and Kubernetes.
Ability to create unit and integration tests that support performance and reliability.
Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
Understanding of security principles and compliance needs in financial environments.
