Role overview
An opportunity is available for a dependable and enthusiastic gardener/cleaner to join the Christchurch team in New Zealand. The position suits someone who works well in a busy setting, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys keeping environments tidy, fresh, and welcoming.
Working arrangement
This is a part-time onsite role. The roster is Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The hourly pay rate is $30.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out basic gardening tasks and plant care.
- Operate gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform spot cleaning of furnishings.
- Complete sweeping and mopping duties.
- Collect and dispose of rubbish.
- Clean glass surfaces, both inside and outside.
- Dust hard surfaces thoroughly.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in gardening or cleaning, preferably in a commercial environment, is an advantage.
- Willingness to adjust workdays depending on weather conditions.
- Experience working well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good customer service abilities.
- Reliable and punctual work habits.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours and public holidays when required.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older due to health and safety policies.
- Training and all work-related communication are conducted in English only; strong spoken English and comprehension are required.
- Valid work rights in New Zealand are essential.
