Junior UI Engineer

This role is focused on shaping digital interfaces that match the discipline and precision of the firm’s advisory work. The successful candidate will support a major Birmingham-based client by building the tools used to present and explore corporate governance structures. You will turn strategic direction from senior leaders into polished, practical user interfaces.

What you will do

• Create responsive, well-structured interface components using current web technologies.
• Work with firm principals to understand data needs for client assignments based in Birmingham.
• Preserve a unified visual style across digital reports and internal analysis tools.
• Develop and improve dashboards that help clients gain clearer visibility into portfolios and complex datasets.
• Produce tidy, well-documented code that follows internal expectations for clarity and dependability.
• Troubleshoot front-end issues and keep tools functioning smoothly across browsers and devices.
• Convert static operating-model diagrams into interactive digital elements.
• Take part in internal reviews to ensure software outputs reflect the firm’s professional tone.

What we are looking for

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue through coursework or personal projects.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and succinctly in writing.
• A structured, practical mindset that values usability and clarity over unnecessary visual complexity.
• Strong attention to layout, typography, and information hierarchy.
• Willingness to learn about corporate governance and holding-company structures.
