About the Role
This position is for a meticulous and well-organized Logistics Coordinator who will oversee the full logistics flow for the business. The role focuses on shipment coordination, trade documentation, regulatory compliance, and record accuracy across import and export activities.
Key Duties
- Manage both incoming and outgoing shipments so deliveries happen on schedule and without disruption.
- Handle shipping paperwork such as commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, and customs documentation.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport vendors to arrange bookings, monitor movement, and resolve shipment issues.
- Maintain compliance with JAFZA requirements, UAE Customs rules, and internal company procedures.
- Track inventory movement and coordinate with warehouse staff for correct receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Keep logistics records up to date and enter shipment and inventory details into ERP/WMS platforms.
- Prepare and process import and export papers, including Bills of Entry, Exit Certificates, Delivery Advice, and other required regulatory forms.
- Review shipping timelines, transport routes, and logistics spending to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with finance on logistics invoices, follow-ups for payments, and freight charge reconciliation.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline. A background of 2 to 5 years in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations is required, with UAE-based experience preferred. Exposure to JAFZA or other UAE Free Zones is highly desirable. Strong familiarity with UAE Customs procedures, import/export compliance, and international shipping regulations is essential. The role also requires practical experience handling sea, air, and land freight, along with proficiency in ERP/WMS tools and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
